Claude Hickman

Executive Director

After marrying his wife Rebecca they embarked on journey together in 2000, traveling ten months of the year, speaking to over two-hundred and fifty thousand students at universities, conferences, and churches, casting vision for the evangelization of the world. Claude is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary where he has spoken many times at chapels as well as the author of Live Life On Purpose. He now lives with his family in Southern California, and continues to travel, speak and awaken believers to God’s global purposes.

Todd Ahrend

International Director

Todd is a graduate of Northeastern State University and a former campus minister at Tulsa University. He has a Master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Doctorate from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Jessica is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute. Todd is the founder of The Traveling Team. For seven years, he and his wife Jessica traveled around the nation mobilizing young adults to missions before living for a year in the Middle East. Todd has exposure in over sixty countries and is currently the International Director of The Traveling Team which seeks to use The Traveling Team's resources in countries outside of the U.S. They have three children, Camden, Brody, and Axel. Todd is the author of In This Generation: Looking to the Past to Reach the Present and The Abrahamic Revolution: God’s Mission in Motion.

Sean and Meredith

Team Leaders

Sean has spent the last five years traveling 43 states casting mission vision with Traveling Team. Meredith joined him a year and half into that five. Sean graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Communication and Meredith from John Brown University with a degree in Graphic Design. Sean has spent time in India and Indonesia working with college students and has participated in a stateside summer training project in FL leading a small group. He has also taught courses for Perspectives on the World Christian Movement. Meredith has some missions experience in South and Central America. She has taken the Perspectives course and spent a year working for Perspectives as a Graphic Designer. In 2009 they were both IT Project graduates. In the summer of 2011 they lead the entire IT Project. They have a passion to see this generation mobilized to finish the Great Commission and believe college students are the most strategic place to labor.

Hudson

Team Leader

Hudson graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in History in 2009. He first took Perspectives in the 2007, and for the last two summers he has participated in stateside discipleship projects. He recently returned from working in rural areas and college campuses in Southeast Asia and hopes to return one day.

Morgan & Bethany

Team Leaders

Morgan and Bethany began their adventure in marriage together in August 2012 – and now travel the nation speaking to students and churches casting vision for God’s global plan of missions. Together, they have spoken to more than 200,000 students, traveled over 270,000 miles, have short-term experience in 17 countries, and in 49 of the 50 United States.
Morgan graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Agricultural Economics. Bethany, also a Kansas State graduate, studied Agricultural Communications & Journalism and International Agriculture. They are alumni of the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement course, both participated in and lead multiple state-side summer projects, and have a big heart for life-on-life discipleship to reach the nations.

Sarah

Traveler

Sarah graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2010 with a degree in Communication. After hearing The Traveling Team speak, she took Perspectives in Spring 2009 and attended the IT Project that summer. Sarah is excited about mobilizing college students to the nations before she heads overseas herself.

Abbie

Traveler

Abbie graduated from Northeastern State University in 2010 with a degree in Elementary Education. She gained a heart and a vision for the world through the Perspectives course in 2006 and has sought to leverage her life for God’s purposes since then. She has spent time in Russia and Mexico working with youth and has worked in children’s ministry in many different capacities. In college she was involved in discipleship through her church, on her campus, and within her sorority, as well as participating in a stateside summer discipleship project. She considers it a privilege to be able to be a part of mobilizing college students to God’s Word, His world, and His work.

Kristin

Traveler

Kristin graduated from The University of Texas in 2011 with a business degree in Consulting and Change Management. Kristin gained an understanding of God’s heart for the world and the Biblical Basis for missions when she attended the IT Project in 2009. After that summer God continued to grow her passion for missions as she enjoyed mobilizing fellow members of her sorority Sigma Phi Lambda (Sisters for the Lord) for God’s global purposes. She has spent time studying abroad in Singapore and traveled throughout Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Kristin is fired up to mobilize college students to discover God’s heart for the world and their role in fulfilling the Great Commission!

Nathan

Traveler

Nathan graduated from the University of Arkansas in May 2010 with a degree in History and political science. He first gained a heart for the nations in 2007 when The Traveling Team came to his campus. He took The Perspectives course in 2008 and coordinated the class in his home town of Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2010. He is a member of Beta Upsilon Chi (Brothers Under Christ) fraternity and mobilized students at the U of A after participating in the I.T. project in 2009. He is excited to mobilize college students to develop a heart for the world!

Ty & Carrie

Travelers

Ty and Carrie joined staff with The Traveling Team in Summer 2012. They are from Ohio and have degrees from Ohio University, Ty in Journalism and Carrie in Physical Education. It was during their time at Ohio U. that God opened their eyes to his plan to reach the world with the gospel and that they, as Christians, had a part to play in it. Carrie is a 2009 IT Project graduate and has spent time in France sharing the gospel. Together, the Komjatis have spent time in Slovenia doing evangelism with college students. Ty and Carrie love college students and are excited to help them take hold of their responsibility in getting the gospel to the world's unreached.
 

Rachel

Traveler

Rachel graduated from University of Arkansas in 2012 with a degree in Business marketing. She was involved in several stateside summer projects where God gave her a heart for evangelism and discipleship. At one of these summer projects, Rachel heard The Traveling Team speak and began growing a heart for the world.  Soon after, Rachel completed the Perspectives class and attended IT Project. Through this, she gained a heart to not only for reaching the nations with the Gospel, but mobilizing other college students to do the same. She hopes to one day use her degree to spread the Gospel internationally.

Laura

Office Staff

Laura graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Laura has had some missions experience in Central and South America. Laura and her husband, Jonathan, traveled around the U.S. for two years mobilizing college students. Now she enjoys her role on staff in the office while her husband is in school to become a Doctor. They hope to live in an unreached people group one day using medicine to meet the physical needs of people and as a bridge to point people to Jesus.

Laura has been interested in missions since childhood, but she didn't step into World Christianity until she left college. After hearing The Traveling Team speak at her church's missions conference, she attended the IT Project in 2009. She has since assisted in coordinating Perspectives in her hometown, Tulsa, Okla. She and her husband, Bear, love spending time with international students and hope to go overseas soon. 

Evan

Accounting Staff

Evan graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor's and master's degree in accounting. He is currently working on his CPA certification and hopes to be finished by mid-2013. He performs the accounting duties for both The Traveling Team and other parachurch organizations. He is very excited about the opportunity God has given him to use his degree to bring glory to God and serve the Traveling Team staff.

Kaitlyn

Office Intern

Kaitlyn is a senior English major at the University of Arkansas. After spending two summers at a discipleship program offered by her college ministry, Kaitlyn sensed the Lord opening her heart to His world and the people overseas who live life devoid of the hope of the gospel. Her favorite part of college is living in the international dorm, establishing friendships and sharing Jesus with girls from all over the globe.
 

Summer

Office Intern

Summer is a senior at the University of Central Arkansas studying Public Relations and Speech Communication. She first experienced God's love for the nations during a mission trip in Guatemala right after high school. Since then, God has continued to foster a love for the nations in her heart. Summer is currently a student leader in her campus ministry. After her graduation in May 2013, Summer plans to spend a year in East Asia interning with a ministry to spread the Gospel to the people there.

Hannah

Office Intern

Hannah is currently a junior at the University of Arkansas, and she is majoring in English Literature with a minor in Arabic. She attended IT Project the summer following her freshman year, and since then God has continued to fuel her passion for sharing the gospel with international students on her campus. Hannah is hoping to move to the Middle East after she graduates in May 2014.
